Bogota

I arrived in Bogota yesterday visiting my gf Miriam who has been down here for 3 weeks with her kids staying at her in-laws. It´ll be fun to hang out and check out the city for the next 10 days! Her father-in-law drove us to the old part of the city today. We wondered around the narrow pedestrian-only cobblestoned streets, checked out a couple of the art museums including the famous Botero art gallery and had some awesome columbian coffee (Juan Valdez). It´s a beautiful tropical city, but very congested with 8 million people living in the city and over 1 million cars on the road. They actually have a vehicle restriction rule that only allows you to drive on certain days depending on the last digits of your plate number, and on some days there are no vehicles allowed during the day. Thank goodness cabs are cheap!!
