Jake and I have been out more often in the neighborhood now that I have more time but I realize as he gets older that he is less interested in going for long walks and just want to lie around. He literally just stops walking or makes a u-turn pretending to pee and tries to bolt home (even while leashed!). At home, he sleeps non-stop except to eat or if he hears something going on in the house but that's about it. I talked to my friend Denise about this and she thinks it's totally normal as she also has a 17 year-old terrior and it was around 14 yrs that he started slowing down. So, I guess Jake is just getting old and slowing down!!
