The Prairies was not as flat as we had expected although we promised Gertrude (that's what Sue named the car) that there'd be no more hills to climb! We were also expecting to see tall wheat flailing in the wind but that was not the case as they'd all been cut short. Finding campgrounds to stay was a challenge as we didn't see any provincial sites, they were mostly private ones. Luckily, the provinces (Saskatchewn and Manitoba) are quite small compared to other ones and we only had to stay one night in each province. By the second night, we got used to hearing the train which runs parallel to the Trans-Canada Highway, and even experienced a campground wedding (yikes!).
